Custom Printing Process

Custom Cup Production & Printing in Our Factory

Bioleader Cups coordinates cup forming, lid selection, custom printing and export packing around the approved cup specification.

  • Cup Forming & Size Control

Sheet extrusion and thermoforming, with dimensional checks for the selected SKU.

  • Custom Logo Printing

Cup-body artwork reviewed for the selected product and printing arrangement.

  • Artwork & Color Review

Position and color checked against the approved design and sample reference.

  • Packing & Quality Control

Cup-and-lid checks, carton identification and export packing kept connected.

Choose the Right Customization Route

An existing cup with printed artwork and a new cup structure involve different development decisions. Choose the route before finalizing design or delivery plans.

Custom Printed Standard Cups

Cup format
Existing PET or PLA model, dimensions and rim
Branding
Logo or cup-body artwork on the selected SKU
Lid system
Review an applicable lid for the existing cup
Approval
Model, artwork, sample requirements and packing
Order planning
Standard printed-cup MOQ; project quotation

Full Custom Development

Cup format
New dimensions, capacity, structure or special color for evaluation
Branding
Artwork considered alongside the proposed cup structure
Lid system
Review the cup and lid together; new tooling may be needed
Approval
Technical feasibility, tooling, sample requirements and specification
Order planning
Project-specific MOQ, development cost and timing after evaluation

Do not approve a new structure on the assumption that a standard cup's MOQ, artwork template or lead time will apply.

Popular Cup Formats for Custom Printing

These existing models are starting points for artwork review. Capacities and rim dimensions below belong to the named SKU, rather than every variant on its product page.

A shared nominal rim diameter does not prove lid compatibility or a shared printing template. Confirm the cup and lid specifications, then test the selected physical combination.

PET vs PLA for Custom Printed Cup Programs

Choose the material for the complete cold-drink packaging system. Clear cup walls make the drink part of the printed design.

PET Cup Program

Beverage presentation
Clear presentation for iced coffee, juice, smoothies and cold drinks
Artwork & color
Review contrast, opacity and the beverage behind the design
Lid selection
Confirm the lid specification and physical fit for the PET SKU
Purchasing documentation
Confirm the selected product and destination-market requirements

PLA Cup Program

Beverage presentation
Clear cold cups for programs specifying plant-based PLA
Artwork & color
Review contrast and opacity on the selected PLA cup with the intended drink
Lid selection
Review the PLA cup, lid material and actual fit as one system
Purchasing documentation
Confirm product-specific documentation, local disposal infrastructure and permitted claims

Both ranges shown here are for cold use. PET is not compostable. PLA compostability claims depend on the specific product, applicable documentation and suitable commercial composting conditions; they do not imply home compostability or universal local acceptance.

Custom Printing, Artwork & Color Control

Final printing arrangements depend on the selected model, design and order structure.

Artwork Files & Printable Area

  • AI, editable PDF or EPS; SVG may be supplied as a vector source asset. JPG and PNG are visual references.
  • Model-specific; cup height, taper and available print zone affect placement and distortion.
  • Check critical graphics and text on the tapered cup, including distortion and registration where relevant.

Color & White Underprint

  • Up to 8 colors, subject to cup model, artwork layout and project review.
  • Review CMYK production settings; use Pantone or an agreed spot-color reference for critical colors where the production route supports it.
  • RGB screen colors are not the final print standard. Review white underprint where supported, including coverage, opacity and the intended drink background.

SKU-Specific Artwork Template

Send the SKU, material, capacity and intended lid. Cup height, taper, circumference and print zone can differ even when two cups share a 90mm rim. A template for one model must not be assumed suitable for another.

  • Identify the cup SKU and current template revision.
  • Return editable artwork for layout review. Agree a digital proof and a physical printed sample where required; retain the approved production reference.

QR / Functional Codes

Use the printed cup for a clear customer action: a menu, loyalty page, product launch or seasonal offer. Align design versions, quantities and destination dates with the purchasing plan.

  • Review code size, quiet zones and placement on the curved wall. A successful PDF scan does not approve the cup; a QR link alone does not establish batch traceability.
  • Test the printed cup under representative conditions during sample approval.

From Artwork to Approved Production

Select the cup, approve the design and record the physical checks needed before production release.

  1. 01

    Cup Selection

Choose PET or PLA, capacity, dimensions and the actual SKU. Select the lid and verify seating, retention and intended use; diameter alone is not approval.

  2. 02

    Artwork Review

Confirm the SKU-specific print area, logo, artwork revision, colors and QR / functional elements. Resolve file and layout questions before sampling.

  3. 03

    Digital Proof

Confirm the file and layout: artwork position, text legibility and color references. A flat proof does not approve the result on a tapered cup.

  4. 04

    Printed Sample

Where required, check lid fit, printed color, opacity and artwork placement against the actual drink. Test QR / functional elements with representative phones, distances, lighting and condensation; verify the destination.

  5. 05

    Approval

Record corrections and approve the artwork, cup-and-lid specification and physical sample where required. Retain the agreed production reference.

  6. 06

    Bulk Production

Confirm quantity, carton identification, private-label and export packing requirements and all approvals before release. Use the approved reference for production QC and reorders.

MOQ & Custom Order Planning

Plan quantities by cup size and artwork design, rather than only the total order volume.

20,000+

Plain cups

Standard MOQ starts from 20,000 pcs per size.

30,000+

Custom printed cups

Standard MOQ starts from 30,000 pcs per size/design.

Custom

Full custom / new mold

Separate technical evaluation and project-specific MOQ.

Smaller trial request. Subject to specification, production scheduling and quotation; a higher unit price may apply. Acceptance is not guaranteed.

Sampling arrangements, any setup or tooling charges, production lead time and shipping schedule must be confirmed for the selected SKU, artwork, quantity and packing. A required delivery date should be included in the inquiry; it is not a confirmed production slot.

From Approved Artwork to Repeat Orders

Keep product, design and packing references connected so later orders can be checked against the same approved specification.

Pre-Production Control

Confirm the cup SKU, dimensions, lid specification, artwork revision, color reference and agreed sample. Resolve deviations before release.

Production & Packing Control

Check print position and appearance against the approved reference. Review cup dimensions, applicable lid fit, carton quantity, shipping marks and packing requirements.

Repeat-Order Control

Reference the approved artwork version, cup and lid models, packing specification and previous approval. Review any design, material, model or destination requirement change before repeating the order.
